Basically What I'll Be Wearing all Summer

So, Summer is almost here! And for many of us it’s already starting to feel like it! Finally… Am I right? I couldn’t be more excited about all the Summer Fashion I am going to be wearing. Here is what you’ll be seeing me in all season:

WHITE- I am currently obsessed with all things white.. white on white on white! I just love it. Don’t get me wrong I am a New Yorker so of course my go to is always black, but for now I just need a break from black. And white it is! Try white denim jeans with a white tee and white linen jacket! Add neutral accessories and you’ll be a showstopper this summer!

Screenshot 2019-06-01 23.19.30.png

LARGE HAT- Ok, so this may be a bit extreme but you get my point! I love a great hat and the trend this summer is the bigger the better! This past year has been a little of a wakeup call for me since I am getting older and need to protect my skin better so I have been wearing a lot of hats! I also love wearing hats because they help block the glare without having to have on sunglasses all day which give me a headache. So the large hat trend is perfect for me this summer!

Screenshot 2019-06-01 23.21.02.png

TIE DYE- I have always been a fan of tie-dye. My kids and I do it every summer. But this summer it’s totally on trend and not just for the kids! I love this rainbow vibrant tie-dye but If you can’t pull this off, try the trend in a more understated way like pale sherbet tones or monochromatic.

Screenshot 2019-06-01 23.22.16.png

SHELLS- I love these shells and the trend is popping up everywhere. I love this look as a choker, bracelet and even anklet. They just give off such a fun easy summer vibe that I am totally into this season!

Screenshot 2019-06-01 23.23.28.png

LILAC- One of my personal favorite colors. I just think it looks great on everyone especially blondes. It always makes me feel so pretty and feminine. Try this look with accessories if it’s too much for an all over look for you. I really think this will look great in a swimsuit and beach towel combo! Plus I just love it for a Summer wedding attire.

Fall Fashion Trends - My Must Haves!

Every wardrobe needs a seasonal refresh... I tend to wear the same things throughout the season and love when the seasons change and I get to mix it up! Plus, who doesn’t love shopping!! Here are the Must Have items I’ll be adding to my fall wardrobe.

Fall Fashion 2018 Collage_Fotor_Fotor.jpg
  1. Statement Boot- I just love having something I can put on with almost any outfit that really makes a POP. That is why I love this trend. There are so many amazing boots out there for everyone’s style. Incorporate your favorite fall boot to update your existing wardrobe!

  2. All Things Glitter- Glitter has been a trend for a while but it is not going anywhere especially with the holidays right around the corner. Invest in something that is versatile and can be warn numerous times throughout the season and into the winter. A great glitter skirt or even a boot or jacket will leave you right on trend!

  3. Sleek And Sexy- Less is more with this trend. Having the right silhouette is key here. Details are in the fabrics and cuts. Go for something that is elegant and makes you feel your best! Pair this with other trends this season for a killer look!

  4. Plaid- Such a perfect season to wear this trend. From the pumpkin patch to Thanksgiving dinner and even cozying up next to the fire, plaid is a staple this season. I love mixing trends and this one is one of the best to incorporate into what you already own plus a statement boot will be totally killer this Fall!

  5. Oversized- I can’t get enough of the oversized sleeve and shoulders on many of the sweaters and jackets out this seasons. It is one of the most fun trends and will amp up your fashion game for sure. Just don’t do it all over and my recommendation is to pick a sleek counterpart to even out this look.

  6. Prairie- Such a huge trend this summer but it’s not totally forgotten and if I can get some more use out of some of my favorite summer pieces than I am all for it! Try that cute prairie dress or skirt with a perfect fall sweater or jacket. I also love mixing the pairie skirts with boots for fall. One of my favorite looks and so easy to wear.

  7. Floral- Florals were all over the Fall runway and I love the mix of the feminine floral with the sophisticated darker color stories. To decide if your floral is on trend, a few things to keep in mind are to steer away from summery bold pastel or lightly colored florals. Stick with a darker background with a muted pattern. This trend works perfectly with a sleek blazer and statement boot.

  8. Neons- Although a bit tricky to wear, I have seen this trend all over NYC and have become a fan. I love the small pop of color but make sure to pair this with muted, simple and sleek pieces. If you really want to make a statement pair a neon turtleneck with a modern plaid and you will be a fall fashion favorite.

  9. 80’s- Seeing as neon is back instyle, I am not surprised that the 80’s are back. I like to this of this as more or the late 80’s and early 90’s as opposed to just saying the 80’s. The early 80’s is not what I am referring to here. Think Julia Roberts Rolling Stones Cover in 1990. It’s all about the demin and leather jackets. Oh, and those “belt bags” that we all still call fanny packs!

Cabi Launches the New Fall Line

I know everyone has been asking about the amazing Cabi event that I went to recently. So here are all the details!

If you haven't heard about Cabi yet, don't worry!! I will get you up to speed! Cabi is fashion brand that focuses on building relationships and connections. They offer a unique way to shop and provide woman with the opportunity to have a career by becoming a Cabi Stylist! Their goal is to create 20,000 jobs by 2020!

This brand perfectly marries style with function. And I was fortunate to be included in the new Fall Collection Launch! They even gifted us with a couple of pieces from the Spring Collection just to wear to the event! How amazing, right?!

I love fashion and this event did not disappoint! I loved seeing the new line on display where we were encouraged to try on EVERYTHING!! So much fun...

As we sipped the signature "Full House" rose colored cocktails and sampled the most decadent sweets, the Fall Fashion Show was being broadcasted throughout the room.  All the attendees had a front row seat to view the new looks on the runway and also some behind the scenes from the show. I loved seeing how they paired all the different pieces from the line and styled them to help provide inspirational looks for their customers. There was even a section of the show where the founder herself, Kimberly Inskeep, gave us a motivational speech which really struck me. Can we all say #GIRLPOWER!!!!!

Check out the new line for yourself available NOW! I picked out so many amazing pieces I can't wait to wear them this Fall!

Spring to Summer Style...

YAY! Summer is here and we are all loving the warmer temps... I know I am!

There are so many things I'll be looking to get to amp up my summer style and keep me cool this summer. But there are tons of items already in my closet from Spring that I"ll be rocking all Summer long. And I see these pieces lasting all the way through the Fall season. These trends are here to stay, well at least another few months. So keep them out and get them to good use.

Summer Fashion Collage.jpg

Stripes - This trend is also very figure flattering and looks great on all the new swim this season. I love this suit by Gap and have a few swimwear pieces from Solids &. Stripes that are my go to swimsuits when hitting the beach or water park with the kids. Stripes are everywhere, from swim to tee's to dresses to skirts. I love mixing solids with stripes and even patterns. Have fun with this trend this summer!

Denim with embellishments - Denim jacket are the perfect seasonal accessory because they are so functional in the changing temps. But they are also super stylish and we've all seen the trend evolve from over embellished with patches to painted on designs but what I am gravitating toward the most these days are the simple yet supers chic broach and pin embellished jackets. I recently bought a Chanel Logo pin and will match that with other pins that I have collected to create my own understated look this season!

Off the Shoulder - This super sexy trend is definitely one I love. It just accentuates your neck and shoulders and is very easy to wear. I love this dress by Love Shack Fancy but this trend works great on shirts and I've seen so many ruffled off the shoulder shirts that I will lusting after this season. And I know they will last me into Fall especially the ones with a longer sleeve.

Sequins - Sequins were are over the runway and I just love that designer are making this trend translate into daywear! I love this skirt by Top Shop and the rainbow stripe look. I can see myself wearing this with a simple tank and flat sandal for a stylish daytime look but can also be worn for those amazing long summer nights paired with a strappy heel sexy off the shoulder top.

The White Sneaker (One of my favorite trends) - I would have never thought I'd wear a white leather sneaker and even pair it with a cute summer dress but it actually has become one of my favorite new trends. It had staying power and I love this one by Gucci with the subtle logo stripe. I wear mine with cute racer stripe leggings for a sporty look but also wear them with all my favorite dresses! What a great and comfortable alternative to heels or sandals!

Bold/Colorful Prints - Color is a must in the summer and although I don't wear it all the time, I just love having a bold bright color or print to throw on to make me feel pretty and joyful. This trend is the perfect match with the summer sunshine! Plus it's great from day to night. Something worth keeping around for when you need that POP!

White Booties - It took me a season to warm up to this trend but I really see it lasting for a while. I  know it's a trend and it will not be around forever but I do see it lasting into fall. I also just love it with a beautiful spring/summer floral dress. It probably one of my favorite ways to wear my white boots by DVF. It also pairs well with denim and every stylista should have a pair in her closet!

Statement Tee Shirt - Whether it's a large logo tee or a fun graphic tee, this trend is here to stay. So keep all your comfy t-shirts ready this summer. Pair it with fun denim or dress it up with a sequin skirt. This look is versatile and can be worn many different ways. Even under your favorite spaghetti strap dress for that 90's style look.

Long Sleeve Dress - I obviously love this trend and it's perfect for this time of year when the weather is changing one minute to the next. The long sleeve offers the perfect amount of coverage when it's a bit chilly but this can be worn all season long. Pairs perfectly with a nice flat sandal, a bootie or even a stacked heel sandal. I also wear this look often with a thigh high boot which is perfect leading into Fall.

Don't Jump, Dive Into Your Amoressa Swim by Miraclesuit

Who wouldn't want to look 10 lbs lighter in 10 seconds? Am I right?! Well, that's exactly how Miraclesuit got it's name because it does just that. Miraclesuit is the leading brand of fashion control swimwear for woman for over two decades. Originally launching back in in the 1920's. Now this brand is expanding with a new contemporary line of swim called Amoressa, which is just as amazing as its older sister, Miraclesuit. Get more familiar What's the Miracle?

I was fortunate enough to be invited on an Influencer Getaway featuring these gorgeous suits with a handful of the most influential ladies around. Pinch me, please! It was like a dream arriving in Tulum, Mexico with the Miraclesuit team to test drive some of their new styles by the sought after brand, Amoressa.  Click here for direct links to the suits I am wearing, Brick House Marisa in black and Diamonds Are Forever Vesper in Bash Red. Retails start at around $80 for separates and go up to about $180 for one-pieces.

This high end luxury swimwear line features the same exclusive fabric, Miratex. The special powers in Miratex come from its composition of mainly Lycra® Spandex. Which offers the one-of-a-kind form and function. Not to mention style!

If the name Miraclesuit reminds you of what your mom would wear, don't worry this brand has grown and now they have looks for everybody and every size and every age. Ranging in sizes from 6-20 with options for long tourso, DD-DDD Cups and now in Plus sizes 16W-24W. Fit Guide.

Miratex, gives Miraclesuit it's namesake because yea, its a miracle! And Amoressa swim features the same great fit, form and function. And with 3 times better control over ordinary swimwear which helps keep you looking good and feeling good. Plus, if fashion is your thing, you'll be happily surprise by these cutting edge looks. Made to flatter your figure in all the right areas, trust me!

Not worth the investment? Think again! These suits last season after season with timeless elegance and superior quality. Follow their specific washing instructions and rest easy. Follow these wear and care tips.

Amoressa incorporates high end luxury finishes with modern functional design. This elegant swim line is fashion driven... but has all the comfort and fit of its predecessor. Whether you are after bold bright solids or muted earth tone prints this brand delivers. Having worn them last week from the pool to the beach and all that jumping around (If you follow my Instagram you'll know what I am talking about). Not ONCE was I worried I was spilling out or something slipping up, ahem, yes, in the bum area. We've all been there! Now you can go back to worrying about more important things like, which exotic cocktail to order next! Check us out below on the gorgeous beaches of Tulum, Mexico enjoying some of those cocktails I mentioned!

IMG_3590 3.jpg

With a name like Miraclesuit I had pretty high expectations about the fit and it delivered two fold. I can honestly say I've never felt better in a suit. The confidence and the ease it gave me, well it basically shocked me. Like most people I hate being in a swimsuit especially when I know I'll be chasing around the kids the entire time. Most, if not all, of the one pieces I own, ride up and I find myself in that not so pretty uncomfortable situation. But, not anymore! I'd like to say YOU'RE WELCOME on behalf of the entire Miraclesuit team. They deserve an award.

In my opinion, the Miraclesuit offers so much beyond the fact that it holds you in and accentuates all your right curves, it also makes you feel amazing. So much so that you'll never want to wear anything else. Well, it would be hard to go back to anything else because I know they are the best at what they do. Plus, check out their new line of chic coverups! With tons of option.

The fit, feel and style is superior and they are now offering their original best sellers, as well as a ton of new innovative designs and they urge you to try new options like their line of separates! Never thought you could wear a two piece and still be comforable? Think again.

Next time you have to bare it all, make it a Amoressa suit by Miraclesuit.

Fall Fashion - My Tips To Looking Great This Season

With the summer heat behind us, it's time to pack up your flowy sundresses and bring out the warm fall layer pieces. It's been warm here in New York City for the past few weeks, and I have been loving it, but it changes over night. And that's exactly what happened!

That summer heat is fading and in with the brisk cool air. Which I LOVE! But that means you'll need to be prepared. So finding a great sweater is key! I picked one with a pop of color with this gorgeous red sweater and I know that it will carry me through this season in style. I've linked a similar style above.

This sweater is super versatile and is the perfect layering piece. I love it with this monochromatic red silk skirt. I have also worn it over a midi dress and is best with high waisted jeans and ankle boots.

Get a head start on your fall style with this gorgeous look perfect for the autumn temperatures.

Shopping tips for fall and beyond:

  1. Invest in pieces you can wear often and that are versatile
  2. Buy high quality pieces that will last more than one season
  3. Spend less on trendy items that will go out of fashion quickly
  4. Make sure to buy clothing that makes you feel good and you are confident in! Trust me, you will wear those pieces the most!

You'll defiantly turn heads in this red hot look!

My Summer Date Night Style

Check out my summer go-to style! This look is perfect for date night and more...

I just love summer and I recently was able to sneak out with my husband for a much needed date night!

I knew I wanted to make the night special and it starts by feeling special. I kicked it up a notch with this beautiful floral dress by Shoshanna Rita Dress... I added my perfect white tote by Goyard. I love this bag because it is the perfect match of chic and practical! I paired this with my comfy silver slides by Zara. I've linked a similar pair.

This go to summer style is perfect for date night and I love that it's casual enough for a daytime or early dinner date. But it's also comfortable and easy to wear while looking sweet and flirty.

Thanks goodness for date-night! I think we need to do this more often...

My style normally consists of black, grey and white. I live in these darker shades most of the year but when summer comes around I just love changing it up with brighter and lighter hues.

At a recent moms night out, I choose this gorgeous pale blue lace cold shoulder sheath dress by Keepsake. It was the perfect dress for the perfect night! It's such a great mix of feminine and chic. Don't ya think?!

I pared it with my new Michelle Albala turquoise drop earrings, gold and clear plastic Diane Von Furstenburg heels and tan Jason Wu bag

This girls night consisted of sipping the best summer shandy on a beautiful roof terrace overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge but my favorite part of the night was making our own floral arrangements with La Catrina. You all know I just love a good DIY!

Jason Wu Showroom Shopping Event

There is no other way to shop than having the designer himself pick out looks for you! And that's exactly what I did at my recent shopping event at the Jason Wu showroom.

Guests were treated to champagne by the tray full, grilled shrimp skewers and his most amazing team was there to help each person try on and discover the incredible designs and what would work for them!

We hand selected a group of friends to preview the new collection as well as shop from the current line. He also showed up his gorgeous new line called Grey which is just stunning!
My sister picked up the most elegant and versatile striped dress that she can wear from work, to bruch or even for Easter Sunday.

Head over to to see all his amazing designs and stay tuned for his new collection which I can't wait to receive my order!! I know I'll be wearing them all over town as soon as I get them!

A huge thanks to the entire team over at Jason Wu as well as Jason himself. The event was killer and thanks for helping me choose the most stunning pieces that I will covet forever.

Holiday Giveaway! It was a Black Tie affair

It's not everyday that you get invited to such an honorable charity event. And this was something super close to our hearts. It's a charity that helps fight Aids and saves lives, called Acria. My husband has been on the board of this charity for a few years now and when we were invited to the annual holiday dinner Honoring The Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, Judith Light, and Casey Fremont at the Armory in NYC. My mind immediately wondered what I was going to wear. It was a black tie event and I knew I'd need something amazing.

From the first fitting to the actual event!

We reached out to our friend, Jason Wu, who also happens to be on the board of Acria. He was happy to dress me in something super chic and I was honored. I was invited to visit his showroom and try on dresses. It was a girls dream. I arrived to find an entire fitting room full of the most beautify designed and constructed gowns. Let's just say I didn't have any problems finding something I loved. But I knew it from the moment I slipped it on that this was the one!

But then, when it came to accessories, I had to match the equally beautiful gown with something pretty spectacular. That is when my friends at Cleo NYC, a merchandiser for Chloe and Isabel, reached out to help style my look. I just loved the gorgeous and super on-trend sparkle choker and matching bracelet. This set is perfect for a holiday party, gift for a loved one or stylish enough to dress up an everyday type look. Enter below to win the same look that I wore to the event!

Keaton Row- The Future of Personal Styling

I was very fortunate to have "met" my personal stylist, Juli from Keaton Row. We've been working on a look that is versatile and will take me from day to night. The pieces we've selected can be worn together or alone and will work with almost anything in my closet.

Looks for Less!

Create the looks of the season using pieces from your own closet!

You probably have a few pairs of jeans & a tee-shirt or two in your closet that you never wear! Well let's recreate them into something super chic and stylish! Why let them go to waste?

I recently scoured the web for a relatively inexpensive pair of the latest jeans with the uneven & frayed hem. I did't find anything I loved and decided this is a look I can make myself. And here are the easy steps so you can too!

What you'll need:

  1. Sharp scissors that will cut fabric
  2. Seam ripper or pointy scissors (like nail scissors)
  3. Iron

Here are the steps you will take:

  1. Rip the hem seam open with the seam ripper or nail scissors
  2. Iron the hem flat. If the hem doesn't lay flat, you can try dampening the hem and then iron.
  3. Using your sharp/fabric scissors cut the front of the hem about an inch up along the side-seams. Make sure you leave the back of the pants longer.
  4. Fray the cut edges to create the look we are all lusting over right now!
  5. Then, add holes or distressing to the pant legs as desired. (My jeans already had some holes & distressing but I cut open one of the holes and made it much bigger to emulate the look of the jeans I wanted!)
  6. Tip - YOU CAN ALWAYS ADD MORE HOLES BUT YOU CAN NEVER TAKE AWAY HOLES. So keep trying the jeans on and making sure you like what you are doing before you do it. But let loose and have fun! Remember, you never wore these jeans anyway, they've been just sitting in your closet collecting dust.
  7. Finally, WASH the jeans. This will help make all the edges look more worn and help them fray more.

For the shirt, I used an old white tee shirt I bought for the summer but it wasn't the best fit and I rarely wore it. I've been lusting after the distressed white tee for a while now. I have one that I wear to workout but it's a little dingy looking now and I didn't want to invest in a new one.

So take your seam ripper and scissors and get to work!

  1. First, start with distressing the seams & hems of the sleeves and bottom of the tee. Cut small slits in them and small holes.
  2. Then take your seam ripper or nail scissors and create holes along the neckline and above the hem.
  3. Make small holes with seam ripper or nail scissors on the body of the shirt. Space the holes around unevenly on the front and back of the tee. *You can create the small holes by just pulling up on a couple of thread and cutting them... These aren't large holes; mostly small little nicks and cuts. Make them different sizes to create your desired look.
  4. Finally, I cut the side-seam to open up the hem of the shirt. I never liked how it sat on my hips so the was my chance to make it what I liked!
  5. This is something you can wear all season long!!

Here is how to tie the look all together!

The Start of Fall Fashion: Transitional Pieces

There have been a few days when you can feel the bit of chill in the air. And after all it is actually fall now.

Here are a few key pieces you can use to help transition out of your summer wardrobe and into your fall fashions.

1. Cropped pant - Cropped jeans and pants are really trending right now. This look goes well with a small heel or wedge. Here I have on a pair of wide leg cropped pant by J.Crew.  This pant is light enough to wear during hot spell yet gives you the coverage you need on a chillier day.

2. Lace up sandal- Lace up the leg sandals and shoes have been here for a while but I don't see it going away any time soon. Try this with this seasons it pant.. the cropped/cut off jeans. They are a perfect match.

3. Long Layers- Last winter we saw this trend and I see it staying around for fall. Here I've layered on a soft & comfy maxi cashmere sweater over my tank and cropped pant. It's a nice match of summer chic but gearing up for the colder temperatures.

*Thanks to Brinkley for taking this pic of mommy today so I could write this post:)

I love finding cool and unique things whenever I travel. These days I really don't have time to shop but on this trip we happened to stumble into a cute little boutique at the marina in Cap Cana (the location of the ONLY ATM machine in the entire area).

I wasn't looking to buy anything but when I saw these oh so pretty earrings I knew I had to have them.

They will always be special to me and remind me of this amazing vacation.

Don't have time to change after squeezing in a morning workout? Or maybe you plan on working out later in the day? Or maybe you are just wearing your workout clothes because you'll be "running" around with the kids all day and want to be comfortable.

Well, here are 3 quick ideas that will help you dress up even the most comfortable of outfits.

Three Do's -

  1. Add a layering piece - Jacket, sweater, and long sleeve shirt can be worn or tied around your waste
  2. Sunglasses - sunglasses are a must after a workout. They automatically make you look stylish and can either be worn or just used as an accessory.
  3. Let that hair down! - Shake out your hair and add some dry shampoo. It will automatically liven up your look.

Tired from a long day? Too exhausted to socialize? This was me for a long time. But recently I decided it was important for me to make more of an effort to be there for my friends. Friends I've had for years but haven't seen and for building new relationships with new moms. But getting ready to go out can be so exhausting and makes canceling look very appealing. Well, I've tried out some new trends that are all the rage and I've used them to my advance for making this tired mom look ready for a night out!

I started out by picking a pretty aqua off the shoulder dress from last summer when I  was pregnant (its not maternity but its flowy and comfy)...  Stick to something you know you'll feel good in. Then all you have to do it snaz it up!

1. Top Knot - My hair was a MESS and I really had no time to shower and wash/dry/style so I threw it up in to a top knot. This look is super stylish right now. And totally works for the tired mom. It takes just second and works for any hair type.

Start with a high pony tail on the top of your head. Then instead of twisting the hair into a bun, you just start to wrap the pony tail around itself. Secure the wrapped hair with a neutral colored hair tie or bobbie pins. I also like to pull out a couple pieces around my ears to look a little messy.

2. Choker - Then I paired this look with a gold choker necklace I recently bought on Nasty Gal.  A necklace always looks great when the hair is pulled back. And chokers are super stylist at the moment. But try sticking to something that is simple, sleek and sophisticated. And doesn't look like you are trying too hard.

This look took me about 5 min to pull off. And made it look like I took forever getting ready.

Try this on your next night out!

Destination Wedding Fashion

A few months ago my husband and I were invited to a super chic destination wedding in Tulum, Mexico.

The wedding couple are in the fashion industry so I first I thought about wearing something I already owned but after a quick mental debate I realized that wasn't going to work.

I had a vision that I would "blend in" with the ocean and found a dress on google images that was from Alice and Olivia a few years back. It was ombre blues and the silhouette looked right on trend for this season... I was so disappointed I couldn't get my hands on it. I called the store and asked but of course there was no way of finding something so old and they referred me to eBay or something of the like. And so I started my search  and quickly found one in my size on Ebay so it must have been my lucky day!

I have never ordered something on eBay but I took the leap of faith and ordered it. It came from Korea about a week later and fit ok however I did do minor tailoring (I mentioned the wedding couple are fashion designers) so getting the dress to fit perfectly (or at least as best I could) was important.

I paired the dress with my Chloe pearl earrings and Diane Von Furstenburg gold and plastic heels.

My hair and makeup were super easy as I traveled the day of wedding and my hair was a little dirty. So I just did a sleek middle part and tucked the front behind my ears securing the hair with blonde colored bobbie pins to hold the look for the entire night (which was full of dancing and tequila). The makeup I did was shimmering and bronze to go along with the beach themed looked. Maybe it was a little mermaid inspired too...!!! Either way it was fun and beachy and the wedding was an overall blast.

Cheers to the happy couple!
